It's nice to be compared to Katie Holmes, Shiri Appleby or Jessica Alba, but I'm not sure it's a good comparison. You don't become a real actress after a few months on a TV show. You need years and different projects. For now I'm just Kristin Kreuk and don't care too much about it.

PARENTAL ADVISORY
My parents have a different look on my career. Even if they're very proud, they're mocking me a little. They know their are the only ones allowed to do so. I think they just don't want me to catch the big head. When a magazine says I'm among the sexiest women, I turn off my phone for 48 hours.

I learned privacy is not good in Hollywood. You have a new guy every week, you're a bitch, but you're still cool! If you hide, then they think there is something wrong. I do like guys and I even have a boyfriend. But that is all you'll know about it!

THE IDEAL MAN
My kind of guy? My boyfriend! I like sweet guys, nice, reassuring, and with dark hair. I'm not attracted to ''bad boys.'' I need to be charmed and impressed. Tom Welling is absolutely corresponds to that profile, but he is a friend and moreover he is married. Anyway, I have to admit he is very cute. (smile)

PARTYTIME... THEN BEDTIME
I do like going out to parties. Even though I live for music and dancing. When I go to a club, I don't really feel at ease... in the mood for it. I don't drink alcohol contrary to my friends who have fun all night long. Plus after midnight all I want to do is SLEEP.

IN EXTREMIS
At first, I had refuse auditioning for Smallville. The story about young superman... I had never read the comics so... Even the title did not feel right. I eventually auditioned at Vancouver and did it!

POUND ISSUE
I don't care about what some journalists said about my weight. I've always been slim. When I was young, I was very thin and people used to call me ''half-portion''. Seriously, they can call me an anorexic, but look at my face and my cheeks !!!

FROM LAUREL TO LANA
When I was Laurel I wanted to play more complex scene but it was rarely possible. It is in Smallville. I can be weak and fragile, funny, moving, a hero... I'm so blessed now that I can show what I can to as an actress. I can improve my acting and try new things.

A GIRL FROM THE SIMPLE YEARS I did not catch the "big head" because of Smallville. My friends are not jealous of this sudden fame. Everything is like what they used to be. They try to stop asking me about Smallville future episodes and autographs from Tom and Michael. (laughs)
